Salvage 2005 Kato CR250 City Crane, Recorded Hours Circa’ 16,000 & 14,368 kms, Road Reg: J33062.

The crane toppled onto its offside during operation, (see photos) and has suffered various damage but not limited to the cab, the boom was completely bent and had to be cut away to right the crane back onto its wheels.

The Crane starts, runs, and brakes on override only as none of the safety systems are working.

The chassis is deemed to be in good condition, and it is reported that none of the outriggers are bent.

The 5no. boom sections (1no. with ram extension) to be uplifted separately from the crane, there are also ropes, 2no. hoist ropes, 2no. hook blocks, fly jib (cut).

Additional information

The crane can be transported to the docks via low loader at a cost of £650.00.

It is reported that Condor Ferrys can ship the unit if it drives at a cost of circa’ £1,100.00 to Portsmouth.

The boom sections can be loaded to a flat trailer and delivered to Southampton at a cost of circa’ £750 by Channel Seaways.

Purchasers will need to make their own arrangements with the storer and shipping companies.

Export VAT will need to be paid if the Crane and accessories leave Jersey. The purchaser agrees to and will need to pay any other import duties and taxes that may become due. The crane must be collected / removed from the current location within 7 days of the auction closing, storage charges will apply at the rate of £100per day commencing on day 8 and payable directly to the storer.
